Richard Grosso

GrossoRichard has been a Munroe Regional Medical Center Volunteer since 2008, first working in Central Transport & Patient Support Services, transporting patients and answering thousands of Patient information calls and working on special events.  He joined the Auxiliary Board in 2011 to assist in interviewing and mentoring new volunteers within the health system.   In the last five years, Richard has worked diligently to grow our volunteer base and expand the Auxiliary fundraising activities so that we can continue to meet the growing needs of our community.  During the CHS/Munroe Regional transition, Richard used his business expertise to work towards a strategic plan to make the Auxiliary a separate, not-for-profit corporation, so that the Auxiliary could utilize their fundraising endeavors to fund programs and services which improve the health of our community, such as the healthy Home program.  The Healthy Home program which assist our elderly patients, once discharged from Munroe, with food, home safe checks and safety home modifications, well check telephone calls and provides compassionate care for 35 days following a discharge. Over 100 patients have benefited to date from this innovative program.  Richard has donated over 10,381 service hours to Munroe and our community.  We are so blessed to have him on our team.
